What people ask us most before getting started.
Do I need an electronic signing certificate?
Yes, and that is an SRI requirement, not ours. Comprobify does not issue or generate signing certificates: you must obtain your .p12 file from an accredited certification authority in Ecuador. Once you have it, you upload it to Comprobify and we sign your documents with it. We also notify you by email and in the app when it is about to expire.
Can I test before issuing for real?
Yes. Every account starts in the SRI test environment: you issue documents against the test system, with no tax validity. When you are ready you promote your account to production from Settings. Note that promotion is permanent: a production account cannot go back to the test environment, so do it once you have verified everything.
How do I pay for the subscription?
You can pay by bank transfer or by card. Once you pick and confirm a plan, Billing shows both options. With a transfer we show you the account details, you make the payment and upload the receipt; with a card you pay on the spot, nothing to upload. Your plan activates as soon as the payment is verified, and the invoice for your subscription is issued afterwards. You can change plan whenever you want: upgrading creates a new payment for the difference only, prorated over the days left in your current period; downgrading applies when the period you already paid for ends, at no extra charge. Switching between monthly and yearly billing also applies at the end of the period.
I already invoice in another system. Do I lose my numbering?
No. You can set the next sequential per document type and per branch, so you continue exactly where you left off without duplicating numbers.
Can I use the web app and the API at the same time?
It depends on your plan. The web app is included in every plan, but API access (your own keys and webhooks) is available from the Starter plan up. With Starter or higher it's the same account and the same issuers: your team can issue from the browser while your system issues through the API, and everything shows up together in one dashboard. On the Free, Solo and Lite plans you issue from the web only.
How do I know the SRI authorized my document?
Comprobify sends the document, checks the authorization and notifies you when the status changes: in the app, by email, and by webhook if you integrate it. From the document itself you download the authorized XML and the RIDE PDF.
